REVIEW: The ‘Ancient China’ Exhibit at the National Museum of China

Set in the imposing building on the east side of Tian’anmen Square, you might not find the National Museum of China very appealing at first glance. But step inside and you’ll be greeted by the amazing spectacle of not only the building itself but the objects it contains: priceless relics representing many thousands of years of history. The museum hosts lots of exhibitions year-round, some permanent, some temporary. One of the most popular is the ‘Ancient China’ exhibit, a look at some of the most famous finds ever made in Chinese archaeology. Read on to find out more about our visit and what we thought!

Explore the best of Beijing’s traditional culture with this new route!

‘Great Wall Hero’ is the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau’s annual global marketing campaign. This year, the theme was Beijing by Night, and five different routes were chosen to showcase the city in the late afternoon and evening. Cultural Keys helped design the ‘Beijing Through Culture’ route, which takes in some of the city’s cultural highlights.

Cultural Keys’ founder AJ Donnelly is a Great Wall Hero!

Last Thursday, August 11th 2022, Cultural Keys’ founder AJ Donnelly was honoured to be amongst the five long-term Beijing residents named a Great Wall Hero by the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau. Having promoted the culture of Beijing and China for many years, AJ was thrilled to take part.
