Beautiful Beijing: the best sights we saw this spring!

May is the month when spring transitions into summer. Although in the west (northern hemisphere) summer doesn’t begin until the solstice on June 21st, in China summer already began on May 5th with the start of the seventh solar term, Lixia.

Need more oxen in your life? Enjoy Lunar New Year-inspired art at NAMOC!

The National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) is holding an exhibition to celebrate Spring Festival. Alongside paintings, sculptures and paper cuttings of oxen, you can also appreciate paintings on the theme of spring and vitality by both Chinese and international artists including Ansel Adams, David Hockney and Qi Baishi.

Best of Beijing – Cultural Activities in Beijing

It’s often said that early autumn is the best time to visit Beijing and see what the city has to offer. While getting out and about everywhere may not be possible at the moment, that doesn’t mean you can’t start to make plans!

To that end, for the past few weeks Cultural Keys has introduced you to the best of what the Chinese capital has to offer, from food to flowers, from classical architecture to useful words and phrases especially for Beijing!
