Celebrate a Chinese Horror Halloween with Cultural Keys!

Looking for something different to do for all the family this Halloween? Join Cultural Keys on October 31st for a unique mash-up of Halloween and traditional Chinese culture!

While China has a festival that has some similarities to Halloween, the Ghost Festival (actually a month where the dead roam the earth!), there’s no festival including all of China’s monsters, ghouls and other supernatural creatures!  So since they are such a fascinating part of Chinese culture, we thought we’d incorporate them into Halloween!
 
 
During this event you’ll pair up with your child to paint each others’ faces as Chinese zombies. We’ll tell you spooky Chinese ghost stories and monster tales from myth and legend. You’ll learn about different supernatural creatures, and there will be other fun crafts and activities to do as well! 
 
 
 
– Traditional Chinese Horror Halloween –

Date: October 31st
Location: Cultural Keys Chinese Culture Centre, Tongzhou
Start time: 2pm
End time: 5pm
Price: 288RMB per child; accompanying adult free.
Availability: Max. 10 children (8 years old and up)
Dress Code: Fancy dress is encouraged (but remember you’ll be painting your face here!)

This event is held at our culture centre in Xiaopu Village and limited to 10 children, plus accompanying adults, to ensure each attendee gets full attention from the teacher. The price includes all materials, lunch, snacks and Chinese tea. At the end of the event, you will be able to take your creations home with you.
