Liang Sicheng is a well-known architect and educator in China, lead designer of the National Emblem and the Monument to the People’s Heroes, the winner of the National Natural Science First Prize, and the founder of the Department of Architecture at Tsinghua University. This tribute displays many of his drafts and greatest works, as well as explaining his contributions to China and both traditional and modern Chinese architecture.

Odes Carved on Cliffs: An Exhibition of Rubbings of Cliff Inscriptions from Yongzhou, Hunan Province

The ancient Chinese inscribed their names and stories onto rocky cliffs to record their achievements and expound ideas. Almost 60 inscriptions dating from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) onwards are included in this exhibition, which shows off the cultural and artistic history of this area of Hunan Province.

Two Chinese cultural heritage sites have teamed up to present a major exhibition highlighting their lasting beauty and significance.
Beyond the Bounds of History: A Collaborative Exhibition between the Palace Museum and Dunhuang Academy will run in the Meridian Gate Galleries in the Forbidden City in Beijing for two months.
The Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, Gansu province, carved from the 4th to 14th centuries are one of the longest-used Buddhist shrine complexes in the world. Exquisite murals and sculptures remain in almost 500 caves there. At the exhibition, expect to see life-sized replicas of the caves that you can wander through as well as artefacts from Mogao and other grottoes that were influenced by them.
