For millennia, mountains and rivers, as the foundation of China’s landscape, have occupied an extremely important position in Chinese lives, in the cultural consciousness, and in the development of China’s entire history. Wang Shaoqiang’s three-dimensional, interdisciplinary, “science, history, and aesthetics” system emerges as the “post-landscape”, a humanistic, geographic, and philosophical experiment in contemporary landscapes.

Exhibition: Guangzhou Qin and Han Dynasty Archaeological Achievements

Date: From August 10th to November 9th, 2021

The first Guangzhou Archaeological Achievements Exhibition is held at the National Museum of China. A total of 332 exquisite cultural relics from the Qin and Han Dynasties (221BC-220AD) unearthed in the Guangzhou area are on show.

Exhibition: Liang Sicheng’s 120th Anniversary

Date: August 10th-October 20th, 2021

Liang Sicheng is a well-known architect and educator in China, lead designer of the National Emblem and the Monument to the People’s Heroes, the winner of the National Natural Science First Prize, and the founder of the Department of Architecture at Tsinghua University. This tribute displays many of his drafts and greatest works, as well as explaining his contributions to China and both traditional and modern Chinese architecture.

Second National Arts and Crafts Exhibition

Musical drama: The Orphan of Zhao

Date: September 12th & 13th 2021
