Chinese researcher upends Western-dominated perspectives of Silk Road through China-Uzbekistan archaeology

Wang Jianxin, an archaeologist from Shaanxi Province, spent two decades following in the footsteps of Western Han Dynasty (206BC-AD25) diplomat Zhang Qian in search of the ancient Yuezhi culture, thought to have developed in China and migrated into Central Asia.
