In 2020, the Lantern Festival (Yuánxiāo jié 元宵节）falls on February 8th, the fifteenth and final day of Spring Festival. Although it’s not a public holiday, it is still widely celebrated, especially in southern China and amongst the diaspora. What’s this holiday all about and how can you celebrate it?

A holistic form of medicine, it focuses on disharmony within the body, and seeks to restore the natural balance through a variety of treatments including herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping, massage, exercise and diet.

Throughout the whole of February – Book a cooking class with Black Sesame Kitchen
Private classes at the Black Sesame Kitchen are tailored to the guest – the individual or group may choose from one menu from the class offerings or mix and match any three stir-fry dishes from the menus. Any dietary restrictions or allergies can be catered for. All classes feature an in-depth hands-on experience, a low staff-to-student ratio, and information on how to stock your Chinese pantry.
When: Based on availability, possible start times as early as 9:30am. Must end by 4:30pm.
